During the ceremony, Tareq will present his graduation project titled ‘A Journey of Gulf Tunes’ under the supervision of Dr. Fathallah Ahmed. He will then perform a selection of songs from the Gulf region.

Dr Fathulla Ahmed
Dr Fathulla Ahmed is the instructor of Arabic singing at Bait Al Oud. He has a Higher Diploma in Music, a Bachelor’s degree in TV production, a Master’s in TV Music and a PhD in Musical Sciences. He was originally a member of the Iraqi Orchestra, manager or Iraq’s national radio station’s musical band, and later became a professor at the Art School of Baghdad. Dr Fathulla has served as the Dean of the Higher School of Musical Studies in Baghdad, as well as manager of the Arts Department at the Iraqi Culture Authority. He has collaborated with a number of famous artists in the music field, most importantly, with Kathem Al-Saher.

Tareq Al Minhaly
Tareq Al Minhaly was born in the city of Al Ain where he lived until the age of six, before moving with his family to the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, where he lives today.

His love for Abu Dhabi fuelled his passion for music and he began playing the oud (lute) at the age of twelve.
His music, influenced by the artist Abadi Al-Johar and the musician and oud player Dr. Naseer Shamma, led to Tareq’s family soon coming to recognize his talent for music and singing.

He joined the vocal and oud department at Bait Al Oud Abu Dhabi in 2013 where he studied singing and musicology under Dr. Fathulla Ahmed. Tareq completed his studies at Bait Al Oud in 2018, emerging as an authentic and culturally accomplished Emirati singer.

His humility, star quality and resonant voice won him the admiration of poets and leading lyricists in the Arab world, who wrote songs for him while he was still a student. Notably, Tareq has sung lyrics by Prince Bader bin Abdul Mohsin, as well as the great Emirati poet Dr. Mana Saeed Al Otaiba.
